Xerox is making some changes to a corporate efficiency program and that will result in about a dozen jobs being eliminated, most of them in Monroe County.
The program, called "Lean Six Sigma," has been widely used by a number of businesses and other organizations to help eliminate waste and make production more efficient.
Xerox officials say that the program is now firmly embedded throughout their business, so there is no longer a need for a centralized office to run the Six Sigma program.
The company says it will free up money to invest in marketing and innovation in support of Xerox's overall strategy.
