Xerox launches more than two dozen new products

Xerox Corporation

Xerox has announced what it says is the largest product launch in the 110 year history of the company.

The launch on Wednesday hosted by Xerox CEO Jeff  Jacobson and other company officials in New York City involves 29 printers and multi-function devices that look to take advantage of various software capabilities.

They revolve around ConnectKey, that is Xerox technology which helps the user move between various kinds of office equipment and documents.

Chief Technology Officer Steve Hoover says the idea here is to make it easier to move between physical and digital documents.

“So now, not only can I scan a document, with one button press, I can scan from a piece of physical paper right into Google Drive on the cloud, or Dropbox.”

At the presentation, Xerox CEO Jeff Jacobson said this improvement in digital technology is designed to help the company combat the declining revenues in the document technology industry.

“Our new portfolio is poised to transform the workplace. It gives us great confidence in our path forward at Xerox and certainly as an industry. We are a new Xerox, we have a solid plan for reversing our revenue trajectory and for outperforming the market.”

Officials say that hundreds of people in the Rochester area including the Webster campus for Xerox have been involved in this latest batch of new products.
