Heavy Snow Through Monday

The Rochester area, and other parts of the Northeast as well as the Midwest are being pounded by  winter storm. This one is expected to dump at least a  foot of snow or more on parts of our area from Sunday night into Monday.

The National Weather Service has  issued a Winter Storm Warningfor much of New York State. For parts of Monroe and Wayne Counties, the forecast calls for 4 to 6 inches of snow overnight Sunday into Monday and 6 to 9 inches on Monday, leading to storm totals of 10 to 15 inches.

Winds of 25 to 35 mph with gusts to 40 mph will produce blowing and drifting snow. And wind chills will be around 10 below at times.

The high temperature on Monday will only be around 12 degrees.
