The high winds have subsided, after strong gusts overnight Saturday into early Saturday. Winds gusted as high as 47 mph at the Rochester Airport.

Lake snow warnings and advisories for southwestern NY and the Oswego area were canceled on Sunday afternoon.

Early Sunday morning there were about 370 RG&E customers without power in Wayne County, and more than 200 in Ontario County, but most were back on line by 7am.

Parts of the Midwest got hit with a winter storm. The slow-moving storm that caused hundreds of canceled flights at Chicago's two airports is heading into Canada. The storm canceled some flights from Rochester to Chicago.

The weather will improve later in the week. In the Rochester area, the forecast calls for a high in the 50s by Thanksgiving.
