William Lewek Faces New Charges After A Weekend Arrest

The Rochester psychiatrist accused of burying the body of Matthew Straton in his backyard almost a year ago is back in jail on different charges.

William Lewek  was arrested Saturday in Irondequoit after police say he was driving erratically near 590 and Empire Boulevard.

He was charged with driving while ability impaired, and is now facing drug and alcohol charges.

Last January, Lewek surrendered his medical license, after after he was accused of burying the body of Matthew Straton.

Straton had been missing for months before he was found in Lewek's backyard on Rowley Street. The cause of Straton's death was not determined, and Lewek was not charged with his death.

Instead, he is facing trial on charges of evidence tampering and drug possession.
