Wegmans is recalling some of its "Food You Feel Good About" Spring Water.
According to a company statement, the recall affects only 16.9 ounce bottles and multiple pack sizes with Niagara Bottling, LLC, Ontario, CA on the label, the UPC listed below and Best Used By dates 10 Jun 16 through 18 Jun 16.
Only the following products are included in the recall:
- Wegmans FYFGA Spring Water, 16.9 oz UPC 7789018860
- Wegmans FYFGA Spring Water, 16.9 oz, 12-pack UPC 7789010085
- Wegmans FYFGA Spring Water, 16.9 oz, 24-pack UPC 7789028768
- Wegmans FYFGA Spring Water, 16.9 oz, 35-pack UPC 7789029365
Wegmans wants you to know that no other sizes (or code dates) of Wegmans bottled water are affected by this recall. Its stores in New York, Massachusetts, and Erie, PA are the only stores which received the 12-pack.
Reason for Recall:
According to Wegmans, Niagara Bottling has recalled some date codes of multiple brands of bottled spring water products due to the possible presence of E.coli. No complaints of injury or illness have been associated with this recall at this time. Some 16.9oz bottles of Wegmans Food You Feel Good About Spring Water are included in this recall. Please see date code and specific product details above.
Wegmans notes that this bottled water is treated with a continuous ozonation process, a proven kill step for E.coli. The recall was issued out of an abundance of caution.
All product may be returned to Wegmans for a full refund.
