Wayne County based Baldwin Richardson Foods is expanding in the Town of Williamson and adding jobs.
Governor Andrew Cuomo says that the maker of custom food ingredients will add up to 30 new jobs and he says the expansion will also help retain the current 275 positions.
Cuomo says "the company's continued investment in Wayne County is further proof that the Finger Lakes is moving forward."
Baldwin Richardson is installing new equipment and adding at least 50,000 square feet to its current facility. They plan to break ground next Spring.
The company’s branded products include Mrs. Richardson’s Toppings and Nance’s Mustards and Condiments. They also custom develop various sauces, syrups and other products.
Empire State Development is offering up to $700,000 in tax credits in return for job creation commitments. The Town of Williamson also received $450,000 through a Community Development Block Grant to help the company and Wayne County is also providing assistance.
The total project cost is nearly $35 million. Baldwin Richardson Foods is headquartered in Illinois. In addition to its Williamson location, it also has another facility in Macedon.
