Northeast winds brought more water from Lake Ontario onto parts of Edgemere Drive in Greece on Saturday.
Greece Police asked drivers to avoid that road, with water collecting on the roadway. Police asked only local traffic use Edgemere.
The D&C reported that waves of 2 to 4 feet broke over the top of breakwalls of some homes on Beattie Beach at the eastern end of Edgemere, and that the same thing happened to shoreline homes on Old Edgemere and Edgemere Drives.
