From a career in broadcasting to two decades in politics, Maggie Brooks’ career tenure hasn’t allowed her to shy away from the public eye or to live what some would call “the simple life.” She was elected to the County Legislature in 1995. And she made history when she was elected the first woman to lead Monroe County back in 2004 becoming the fifth County Executive. Brooks was re-elected for two more terms - making this one her last.
She prides herself on being fiscally responsible and listening to taxpayer needs. And Brooks has no intention of backing down on either of those two things as she maintains a busy schedule until her last day on December 31st.
