Verizon Wireless Adding Hundreds Of Jobs

Verizon Wireless is planning to add hundreds of jobs at its Henrietta-based call center.

Spokesman John O'Malley says they already have added more than 300 full time customer service and technical support positions at that location last year, and he says more are on the way.

"As our customer base grows we need more customer support and technical support people to serve those customers and we're actively looking to hire more than 300 reps here at our Rochester call center this year and this career fair this weekend is part of that ongoing effort."

That Henrietta call center serves Verizon customers all over the country. It now employs about a thousand people.

There will be an open house for interested applicants Saturday, March 28, from 10:00 am to 1:00 p.m. at the facility on Calkins Road.

There is also an online "virtual" career fair next Tuesday, March 31 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. to 6 p.m ...You can get more information at www.verizon.com/jobs and at https://verizon.virtualcareerfairs.com/event/rc/login
