More than 100 jobs will be lost this year in Henrietta due to restructuring by the Tyco Corporation. Its Integrated Security Office, which provides call center dispatching for businesses around the country, will be closing.
A Tyco spokesman tells WXXI News that the jobs are being transferred to Kansas City, Missouri and Aurora, Colorado, as part of an effort to remain cost competitive.
130 jobs altogether are being cut in two stages, with some of the layoffs happening in August, and the rest in October.
Tyco is providing severance and outplacement services for the affected workers.
