Two people were found dead in a house fire early Sunday morning in Henrietta. Crews were called to Bradford Road around 3 a.m. to find most of the house up in flames.
It took more than an hour to get the fire knocked down as crews battled frigid temperatures. Officials say that that one victim was found in the basement and another was found in a bedroom on the first floor.
Firefighters had just returned from battling a fire earlier, nearby, and fire chief Mark Strzyzynski says his crews are frustrated whenever they face a tragic situation like this. He says right now investigators are looking at this as an accidental cause, with either a generator or the fireplace possibly contributing to the fire.
The cause of death and other details are still under investigation.
