More than 3,000 runners enjoyed sunny cool weather on Sunday for the Rochester Regional Health Flower City Challenge.
About 2,000 ran the half-marathon, which began in downtown Rochester and wound its way through a number of streets and avenues, and others took part in the Wegmans Family 5k. There were also river challenge races and a paddle triathlon.
The winner of the half-marathon was well-known local runner Kip Tisia, who finished in 1:07:25. The top women’s finisher was Julianne Quinn of Ithaca, who had a time of 1:18:01.
