Stuart Horse Trials Canceled Due To Wet Weather

stuarthorsetrials.org

The annual Cosequin Stuart Horse Trials in Victor have been called off because of the weather. That annual event is in its 24th year and it usually attracts hundreds of riders and their horses from all over the world.

They participate in a variety of equestrian sports, and the field includes people from the novice level all the way up to former Olympians.

But officials with the organization say that the safety of horses and riders are their top concern, and with the already wet grounds and more rain in the forecast, they could not ensure safe conditions for the event.

The trials were to take place July 11th to the 14th.  A cocktail party for patrons is still going on Friday night.
