noaa.gov

Thunderstorms knocked out electricity to over a thousand people Saturday morning in the Rochester area.

Most of the outages involving RG&E customerswere in Wayne County and there were some in Monroe County as well.

Besides the heavy rain, there were reports of a number of lightning strikes  including one that hit Harbec Plastics on Route 104.

The forecast still calls for the possibility of more thunderstorms later on Saturday. There were no injuries.
