Greece Police continue their investigation into alleged student misconduct at Athena High School.
A statement released by the department on Friday says the incident “is the Greece Police Department’s top priority.” Police officials say they have several investigators assigned to the case. They say there is a great deal of work to be completed and documented before charges can be filed.
The statement says that the department is prohibited by law from releasing the identities of juvenile suspects and victims.
According to Time Warner Cable News, an online petition is calling for expelling the students who allegedly recorded a special needs classmate performing dehumanizing acts. That video was reported to have been shared with others on social media.
There are also online efforts to send the alleged victim and his family to Disneyland. One is on gofundme.com and another is on indiegogo.com
