Search Continues in Brittanee Drexel case

A search that is reportedly related to the death of a Chili teen continued over the weekend in South Carolina.

That's according to the FBI, who tellsSpectrum Newsthe search related to the death of Brittanee Drexel will continue at least until Sunday. 

Myrtle Beach Police say officers from their department along with sheriff's deputies and the FBI began searching  Friday in an area around Georgetown, South Carolina.

There’s no word yet on what exactly led them to the area.

Drexel was 17 when she was last seen leaving a hotel in Myrtle Beach during a Spring Break trip in 2009. 

Last year, the FBI reported Drexel had been taken, held against her will, sexually assaulted and eventually killed.

No  one has been charged yet with her death.
