RPO Names New Board Chair

The Rochester Philarmonic Orchestra has named a new board chair.
Brighton resident Dawn Lipson will succeed Elizabeth Rice on September 1st.
In a statement, Lipson said it's an honor to be chosen chair-elect, and she says the RPO is facing many challenges, and will be reaching out to the community for assistance and guidance.
Now in its 90th year, Lipson says the RPO is a community asset, and they'll need the community to get behind the orchestra and help it financially and in many other ways, so people can enjoy the next 90 years.
She says she wants to make sure the RPO remains the "heartbeat of Rochester."
Lipson served on the RPO board from 1999 to 2003, and again the past four years.
