The annual Rochester River Romance kicks off Friday night when 70 or 80 married couples are expected to renew their vows on the Pont de Rennes pedestrian bridge.
Then it's a weekend of guided walks and bike rides, Civil War re-enactments, tours of historic sites, river cruises, a regatta and much more.
The city's Assistant Director of Recreation, Jim Farr, says this event began over thirty years ago as "rediscover the river days."
And the city, and many people, have been doing so ever since.
