ROC's Sister Barbara Lum Shares Her Mission In Selma 50 Years Later

http://youtu.be/dy2h7NvlbSk

Fifty years ago a number of Catholic nuns from the Sisters of Saint Joseph of Rochester had a mission in Selma, Alabama. Their work in Selma actually began in 1940, and 75 years later that work in the south continues. Need to Know’s Hélène Biandudi Hofer recently sat down with Sister Barbara Lum of Rochester who served in Selma. She’ll be heading to the United Nations this spring to share her experiences in Alabama, before and after “Bloody Sunday.” She explains to Biandudi Hofer what we have yet to fully learn from Selma.
