Even with the wintry weather, the 40th annual Rochester St. Patrick’s Day parade went on as scheduled on Saturday.
There had been some questions raised about whether it should be postponed, not only because of the weather, but because of what some people have been dealing with in terms of cleanup from last Wednesday’s wind storm.
But the parade was held, with organizers saying it would be more difficult to try and reschedule it.
Crowds of spectators were less than in some past years, but many of those sitting or standing along the route from East Ave. to Main Street were very enthusiastic about the event, and just a chance to celebrate in general.
