Rochester’s "Silent Leader": Dr. Freddie Thomas

http://youtu.be/l02bS5lWXdA

From Assemblyman David Gantt to New York State Regent Emeritus, Dr. Walter Cooper, more than one hundred voices were interviewed by Rochester writer Rodney Brown about the life of research scientist, inventor and life-long learner, Dr. Freddie Thomas. Some say he was a man who preferred to stay under the radar as he worked to transform the minds and lives of Rochester youth. His story is recorded in Brown’s new biography Silent Leader. On this segment of Need to Know, host Hélène Biandudi Hofer is joined by writer Rodney Brown and the wife of the late Dr. Freddie Thomas, Midge Thomas.
