Rochester and the Locust Club, the union representing city police have agreed on a new contract.
The contract was approved last Thursday by a vote of 485 to 58.
Mayor Lovely Warren says the three year pact represents the first contract settlemen between the city and the Locust Club in nearly 20 years.
Under the agreement, officers will get a 3 percent raise retroactive over the last year. They will also get a 2 percent raise in the second year and a 3 percent raise in the third year.
The Locust Club agreed to a number of procedural changes to help with the police department reorganization which begins in March.
