Rochester Business Alliance To Rebrand As "Greater Rochester Chamber Of Commerce"

The Rochester Business Alliance will be changing its name.  The organization has announced it will rebrand itself as the "Greater Rochester Chamber Of Commerce" effect next January.

Officials say that move stems from a strategic planning process that began in February. The former Greater Rochester Metro Chamber of Commerce merged with the Industrial Management Council to form the Rochester Business Alliance in 2003.

RBA President and CEO Bob Duffy said, "Rebranding as the Greater Rochester Chamber of Commerce helps us more clearly define our mission as an organization that offers advocacy and services to help businesses of all sizes grow and prosper.  We have received very positive feedback about the name change throughout the strategic planning process with input from our board of directors and staff, regional business leaders, not-for-profits, regional chamber of commerce executives, and many others..."

The organization is working with the Dixon Schwabl ad agency on the rebranding effort. More details will be revealed in the coming months.
