Eastman Kodak announces 4th quarter and full-year earnings on Tuesday after the markets close, and there is speculation the company will announce a buyer for its PROSPER high-speed inkjet business.
Originally, Kodak had hoped to sell that Ohio-based unit last year, but then indicated the sale would stretch into this year.
On Monday, an industry publication, PrintWeek, cited a source close to the situation as saying that a deal was “imminent” and that the purchaser is Xerox.
There’s no official confirmation of that yet, but at the time Kodak initially announced the sale of PROSPER, CEO Jeff Clarke said the buyer would best be served by a company with a larger sales and distribution network.
