Radisson Hotel reopens in downtown Rochester following health dept. inspection

The Radisson Hotel Rochester Riverside is able to provide all of its food services again.

The downtown hotel’s kitchen and Legends Restaurant were temporarily closed by the Monroe County Health Department earlier this week due to mouse infestation found during an inspection.

There were no reports of illness. General Manager for the hotel, Matthew Bryant, apologized for the circumstances that led to the four day closure.

He says the Radisson brought in a task force from across the U.S. to address the issues, including sanitizing all surfaces and also refurbishing the kitchens and storage areas.

The Radisson also used the down time to update the look of Legends Sports Bar & Grille and some of the banquet areas.

The health department gave the ok to reopen on Friday, which came just in time for the nearby convention this weekend of the New York State Association of Agricultural fairs.
