Push to Get Susan B. Anthony on the $10 Bill

ehow.com

The President and CEO of the Susan B. Anthony Museum, Deborah L. Hughes, isn't so sure we should have people's faces on our currency in the first place.

But we do, she says, and if a woman is going to be on the redesigned 10 dollar bill, Susan B. Anthony deserves to be there.

"Because she dedicated her whole life to human rights...from making sure we put an end to slavery to her work for women's rights and labor rights, fair labor practices, and of course, believing like no one else that democracy would succeed if we all participated in it."

Hughes adds the larger discussion should revolve about what Susan B. Anthony stood for.

She says  if talking about the new 10 dollar bill gets people talking about the fight for human rights and justice, she's all for it.
