The Rochester Contemporary Art Center -- RoCo -- now has a permanent address. RoCo has purchased the building that currently houses its galleries and studios at 137 East Avenue. RoCo Executive Director Bleu Cease broke the news to hundreds of the non-profit's Thursday night. Cease says many of their 700 members were unaware the organization was still in a rental agreement. He says the struggle isn't over just yet. Now RoCo faces 60 mortgage payments of over thirteen-hundred dollars a month. The goal is to pay off the debt in 5 years with the organization's first capital campaign. The end goal of the fund is 550,000 -- 330,000 has already been raised.
