New Job For Longtime Rochester Educator

Jamestown School District

A longtime Rochester educator and politician  has a new job in Western New York. Tim Mains has been named the Superintendent of Schools for the Jamestown School District, effective in August.

Mains is a former elementary school principal in Rochester and most recently was Director of Internal School Operations in the city school district. He also served on City Council from 1986 to 2005.

Several years ago, Mains was a finalist for the school superintendent post in Rochester.

He replaces the current Jamestown school superintendent who is retiring.
