New CEO Named At North American Breweries

The parent company of the Genesee Brewery, North American Breweries,  has a new CEO. He is Kris Sirchio, who has been an executive at a number of companies, most recently as Global Chief Marketing Officer at Brown-Forman, which is a global manufacturer and marketer of premium alcoholic beverages including Jack Daniels.

His early stints include working in marketing at Proctor and Gamble.  He officially starts at Genesee on April 14th. He and his family will relocate to the Rochester area.

Sirchio  replaces Rich Lozyniak who resigned from the company at the end of March. Lozyniak became the first CEO of North American Breweries in 2009, after that company acquired the Rochester brewery.

The local brewery operation has been owned by a Costa Rican company, Florida Ice and Farm, for just over  a year.
