We could learn today who the Democratic candidate for Monroe County Executive will be. County Democratic Chairman Dave Garretson is scheduled to make an announcement at 10:00 this morning.
County legislative minority leader Carrie Andrews said recently she has decided not to run for the post;
Assemblyman Harry Bronson has said he is considering it, and Sandra Frankel, former longtime Brighton Town Supevisor is seeking both the Democratic and Working Families nominations to run for County Executive.
Frankel ran against Republican Maggie Brooks in 2011 and lost by 14 percentage points. Brooks is term limited and can’t run again. The county Republicans have already picked County Clerk Cheryl Dinolfo to run for the top spot.
