Longtime Wine & Grape Foundation Leader Will Be Stepping Down

New York Wine & Grape Foundation

The longtime leader of the New York Wine & Grape Foundation is going to be leaving that job.

The President of that Canandaigua-based organization, Jim Trezise, says that after 30 years in that role he will leave at the end of this year. He has been with the organization since it was founded.

He made the announcement at the foundation’s Board of Directors meeting recently on Long Island.

Trezise said that while he intends to continue his involvement with the wine industry, he believes the transition “ will be a key step in ensuring the success of the (foundation) for another 30 years.”

The Chairman of the Board of the foundation, Trent Preszler of Bedell Cellars, says the board is grateful for Trezise’s tenure and he says that his leadership has earned the wine industry respect and admiration worldwide.

The Wine & Grape Foundation will begin the search process to hire an Executive Director before the end of the year.
