Ontario County District Attorney Michael Tantillo says he won’t be running for another term later this year.
Tantillo, a Democrat, has held that job for 28 years. He’s been with the D-A’s office for a total of 38 years and he says it’s time to step down so that someone else can have an opportunity to bring fresh ideas and approaches to the office.
The 63 year old Tantillo says he plans to remain active in the law and other areas, but has made no firm decisions on what he will do after he steps down at the end of this year.
