A local medical technology company is expanding and adding jobs.
Governor Andrew Cuomo came to Henrietta Tuesday to tout the growth of high-tech industries in the Rochester area, and specifically praise the work being done by eHealth Technologies.
That healthcare data software company expects to create up to 160 new full time positions and retain another 215 positions.
The company is expanding its facility on Thruway Park Drive, and its CEO, Ken Rosenfeld says this is a great area to get the talent pool they need.
“Our services require advanced software and technology and great people to interact with our healthcare institutions and patients around the country. We could not be where we are today, without the talented team that we have here in the Finger Lakes; the region is truly emerging as a leader in technology and innovation.”
Cuomo notes that this company helps speed up the process of medical referrals for patients, and that in turn will help the state with a big part of its overall economy.
“Healthcare is one of the two largest pieces of the state’s budget. Improving outcomes, using technology, using data to drive the medical response is exactly the right direction.”
