Kodak Names New CEO

Eastman Kodak has a new CEO. The company announced today that Jeffrey Clarke has been named Chief Executive Officer and a member of Kodak's Board of Directors.

Prior to joining Kodak, Clarke was a managing partner of Augusta Columbia Capital, which is a private management firm focused on middle market technology that he co-founded.  Before that, he was CEO and Chairman of Travelport, a private technology firm. He will also remain chairman of Orbitz, the online travel agency.

He replaces Antonio Perez, was was CEO of Kodak since 2005. When Kodak announced plans last summer for getting out of Chapter 11 bankruptcy, officials said that Perez agreed to be CEO for one year after the company emerged from bankruptcy, or until the Board of Directors picked his successor.

The company announced today that Perez is now a Special Advisor to the Board. Clarke's previous jobs also includes a stint at Hewlett-Packard, where Perez had been an executive before he came to Kodak.

The chairman of Kodak’s Board of Directors, James Continenza, said that Clark “is the right person to lead Kodak forward. His combination of strengths and experience in technology, transformation, finance, operations, and international business is precisely what we set out

to find in the next leader of Kodak. His past leadership positions have included businesses selling hardware, software and services, and printing – with B2B customers as well as consumers.”

Since emerging from bankruptcy, Kodak now focuses on commercial printing and packaging.
