Kodak and the crowd-funding website Kickstarter have announced a new effort to support independent filmmakers.
The program is open to artists who are launching a Kickstarter campaign to bring their vision to life using 35mm or 16mm film. Kodak will provide discounted pricing to participating filmmakers on motion picture film, and they will also get mentoring on financing and sales strategies.
Kickstarter says it is committed to supporting independent filmmakers and notes that more than 20,000 projects have been funded in film and video.
