Holly Colino indicted on 9 counts including 2nd degree murder

A Monroe County grand jury has indicted 31 year old Holly Colino on nine counts including a 2nd degree murder charge in the death of Megan Dix in Brockport last month.

Colino, who grew up in East Rochester, but most recently lived in Arizona, also faces charges that include criminal possession of a weapon, menacing and escape.

Dix, 33, was found shot to death inside a parked pickup truck during her lunch break in a parking lot on South Avenue in Brockport.

Police had said the killing was a random act.

Colino was taken into custody in Henrietta after the Brockport incident,  after she allegedly pointed a gun at the head of an employee in a parking lot on Jefferson Road. She got out of her handcuff and reportedly bolted from a sheriff’s department substation, but was taken back into custody after a short chase.
