Greece Police are investigating a drowning that took the life of a 72 year old woman. They say that on Sunday morning their office initially got a 911 call for a missing persons report.
But the investigation revealed that the missing person, a Greece woman, apparently fell into the water in Lake Ontario near her property on Ontario Blvd.
The woman's body was located and removed from the water by the Coast Guard within a couple hours of her disappearance. Police say it appears to be an accidental drowning and there is nothing suspicious about the incident at this time.
