Greece Names A New School Supt.

The Greece School board has announced the selection of a new school superintendent.

She is Kathleen Graupman, who has worked in Greece as an administrative intern, an Assistant Principal, an Elementary Principal and most recently as the Assistant Superintendent for Student Learning and Support Services.

She has also worked for the Hilton School District as the Director of K-12 Learning and Staff Development.

School Board President Sean McCabe says the board is excited to be able to promote from within the district and looks forward to the consistency Graupman’s appointment will bring to continuing programs and academic achievement.

She replaces Barbara Deane-Williams, who had been superintendent since 2011, and recently announced her retirement from the Greece district. Deane-Williams is going to Boston where she will take a top administrative job in that school district.

Graupman begins her new role on July 1.
