Paul and Lisa Beckford of Greece are spending this Thanksgiving at their home with about 20 extended family members.
They say the support of family is one of the cornerstones of their strength as they both fight stage IV cancer.
Lisa was diagnosed with colon cancer in July 2014. Nine months later, Paul learned that he has signet ring carcinoma, a rare form of abdominal cancer.
The Beckfords see the same oncologist and coordinate their treatments at Wilmot Cancer Center so they aren't both overly fatigued on the same days. They say their love for one another and their faith allow them to focus on one day at a time.
Lisa is on disability from her job as an RN and Paul, a social worker, is now working part time. Friends, family and community members are helping them through a Go Fund Me page.
