Get ready for gas prices to rise. That word from the AAA which says that gas prices have moved up just a couple of cents a gallon in the Rochester area over the last week, now averaging about $3.62 a gallon.

Local AAA spokesperson Diana Dibble says these prices are likely to rise gradually over the next several weeks.

"We are anticipating further increases, and a lot of this has to do with the time of year. Many of the refineries are gearing up for seasonal maintenance and switchover to summer blended gasoline. "

Dibble says the AAA still does not expect prices to be as high as they were last year at this time. Right now, the average price in Rochester is down about 26 cents a gallon over where it was last year.
