Fringe Festival '15 Announced

The 2015 First Niagara Rochester Fringe Festival promises to be bigger, better, and more "unordinary" than ever.

That's the word from organizers of the event who unveiled the lineup Tuesday.

There will be 500 performances at more than 25 venues in downtown Rochester between September 17th and September 26th.

Erica Fee has produced the festival since its inception in 2012.

She says the festival works here because there are so many talented people in Rochester.

"Maybe people in the local area didn't know we had such a dept and breadth  of talent.  We also have so many college students, and the colleges are all involved. So the colleges send both performers and attendees, so they keep it fresh and young every year."

This year's big free headliner is New York City's Grounded Aerial, who will perform on the side the 21-story HSBC Plaza.

There's also a one-man parody of Downton Abbey called "Upside Downton."

The festival runs September 17th to the 26th.
