The story of a girl's mysterious murder in 1979 continues in the seventh episode of this series.
Tammy Jo Alexander's murder is still an open investigation, and officers with the Livingston County Sheriff's Office, the FBI and the Hernando County Sheriff's Office in Florida are working tirelessly to find out who is responsible for her death.
Police are currently testing the DNA of three men against a DNA profile they salvaged from Tammy's red jacket, but after 36 years, they don't have much other physical evidence. Their hope is that after all this time, someone might come forward with new information that could finally lead them to Tammy's killer.
Finding Tammy Jo is a podcast hosted by WXXI's Veronica Volk and the Democrat and Chronicle's Gary Craig.
