Farm to Fork Solutions Forum at RIT

Alex Crichton

Connecting small and medium food and beverage manufacturers with the resources they need to grow their business.

That was the idea behind a "Farm to Fork Solutions Forum" held at RIT Friday.

FuzeHub, an initiative introduced last fall by Governor Cuomo, hosted the event.

Executive Director Laura Mann says they're a bridge and a connector for New York businesses.

The forum allowed manufacturers to network with a number of state agencies, and other businesses.

Mann says she's proud of the ability of FuzeHub to connect cross region and bring together manufacturers from around New York.

She adds small manufacturers face many challenges, and FuzeHub is there to connect them with solutions to overcome challenges to growth.

Andy Ilacqua is with Vance Metal Fabricators in Geneva, which has been a wine tank manufacturer for many years.

He says they wanted to better understand the market and get some insight on where they think  growth in the industy is going to be.

Ilacqua says they discovered many resources that they didn't know were out there.

The state says so far, FuzeHub has helped 450 manufacturing companies across New York.
