Monroe County deputies are investigating the death of a 10 year old boy in Churchville.
Authorities were called to a home on Fitch Street on Monday night, and they say that two children were left alone in the home.
Officials say a six year old boy found his ten year old brother unconscious; the six year old went to a neighbor who called 911.
Reportedly crews were able to revive the boy but he later died at the hospital.
The cause of death is still under investigation.
A message on the website of the Churchville-Chili School District says they are mourning the loss of middle school student J’Vieon Grayon-Sutton. Counselors and members of a trauma and grief team will be available at the middle school throughout the day on Wednesday.
The district says additional support will also be available at the elementary school, where J’Vieon’s younger brother is a student.
