Cuomo Expected To Announce Charter Communications is adding hundreds of jobs in Rochester

Governor Andrew Cuomo has two stops in the Rochester area on Tuesday.  Shortly after noon, he is scheduled to make an announcement at Vanguard Collegiate High School on Norton Street in Rochester.

Then, at 1:30pm, Cuomo is expected to make an announcement at Charter Communications in Henrietta.

Charter is the company that is renaming itself  Spectrum and is acquiring Time Warner Cable.  There are various reports that Charter will be adding more than 200 jobs in the Rochester area.

The Democrat and Chroniclereports that officials will announce that Charter will locate regional jobs at office space off Calkins Road, although the company has not confirmed that yet.

The location on Town Centre Drive is near the spot where Verizon has operations and recently announced that it will be moving 650 jobs out of the area.
