Coverage of the 2017 Solar Eclipse

WXXI is partnering with NPR and South Carolina Educational Television for coverage of the Solar Eclipse on Monday, August 21. Here’s a rundown of all our coverage:

Live Blog: At 10 a.m. WXXINews.org will have NPR’s live blog that includes accounts from NPR reporters across the path of the eclipse.

AM 1370: At 2p.m. Here & Now will provide eclipse coverage from across the U.S., including Columbia, S.C., where the longest total eclipse on the East coast will occur.

Live Video: At 2:30 p.m., WXXINews.org will stream South Carolina Educational Television’s coverage of the longest total eclipse on the East coast from Columbia, S.C. The total eclipse will start at 2:41 p.m.

TV: At 9 p.m., WXXI-TV will air NOVA: Eclipse Over America, with coverage of how the country watched the first solar eclipse in the U.S. since 1979.
