The heat will be on the next couple of days, so Rochester mayor Lovely Warren has put Cool Sweep operations into effect Tuesday and Wednesday, when temperatures are expected in the mid 80s.
The program, in conjunction with Rochester Gas and Electric, offers residents a number of ways to get relief from the heat: at fire hydrants and spray parks, extended hours at City pools, or at Durand Eastman Beach.
