Our guest this hour is Zoe Weil, the founder of the Institute for Humane Education. She trains teachers to foster more cultural awareness in students. Examples: kids do not learn much about food and food labeling, and they don't know how animals are treated. Also, kids are not taught to understand where basic products, such as clothing, come from (and the conditions under which they're made). Weil was in Rochester to visit Rochester teachers.
