A final community farewell for former Monroe County Sheriff Andy Meloni today.
Meloni will be laid to rest following a funeral at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at the Student Life Center at St. John Fisher College.
He lost his battle with cancer last week at the age of 84. Meloni spent 45 years in the Sheriff's Department, eventually running for the top job in 1979. Meloni retired in 2001.

Sheriff Meloni's legacy lives on in the hearts and minds of the members of the Sheriff's Office serving this community on a daily basis. Thank you Sheriff for your more than 40 years of service to our community. May you rest in peace
